I didn’t realize how libraries have modernized. Since the internet has gotten going I’ve been able to buy all the books I need for $5-$10 on Amazon and have them sent to me. If the book is old enough I can find the whole thing for free in a pdf. format even online.
Learning has changed though. What I had not realized though was that libraries are going around and paying companies such as Lynda.com and giving all library patrons access to tons of training videos and audio books. I now get the New York Times for free because I have a Los Angeles Library membership.
An inadvertent result was I again fell back in love with libraries when I realized that I could go down the street to the library and get a book I want today in my hands instead of waiting 15 days or so to get a book mailed to me from amazon. Way to go libraries.
